Privacy Policy

AIKO Tutor ("AIKO", "we", "us") is an educational application designed to assist elementary school students in self-checking and practicing English homework using artificial intelligence (AI).

AIKO Tutor is developed and operated by an individual developer (Minh), who is the party responsible for processing personal data in the app.

This policy applies to the AIKO Tutor application on iOS and Android, as well as the aikotutor.com website.

Account Information: email address, display name, password (stored using one-way cryptographic hashing). When logging in with Google or Apple: name, email, and profile avatar provided by Google/Apple.

Learning Information: grade level selected by the user.

Homework Content: exercise images actively captured or selected from the photo library; grading results (correct/incorrect status, answers, explanations); practice questions and student responses.

Usage and Device Data: in-app interactions (e.g. screen navigation, submission requests), device type, operating system, app version, anonymous application identifiers; used strictly for performance analytics and debugging.

Data We Do NOT Collect: geographic location, contacts, microphone audio recordings, biometric data, banking or payment information.

Grading homework and explaining mistakes clearly.

Generating customized practice questions.

Tracking and saving learning progress.

Managing free daily check limits.

Providing user customer support.

Improving application performance and bug fixing.

We do NOT use user data for advertising and we do NOT sell user data under any circumstances.

Google LLC:

Apple Inc.: Apple Sign-in (when used).

AIKO servers and image storage are hosted on Google Cloud in the Singapore region.

Some of the providers above process data outside of Vietnam. We only transfer data internationally to the extent necessary to provide the service and adhere strictly to procedures required by Vietnam's personal data protection laws.

We use the paid tier of the Gemini API. Under Google's terms for this tier, data sent through the Gemini API is not used to train Google's models.

AIKO is tailored for primary school students. Accounts should be created by, or with the verified consent of, a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and legal guardians reserve the right to: inspect, modify, delete their child’s data, and withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8).

The application contains zero advertisements and no commercial purchase links.

Students are instructed to frame only the homework area, avoiding faces or personal identifiable notes. In the event such data is unintentionally captured, it is processed solely for academic grading.

Account data is retained until the user requests account deletion.

Homework photos: stored together with grading results so you can review them, until the account is deleted.

Grading history and learning progress: retained until account deletion.

When you request account deletion, the account is locked immediately and its data (including homework photos and grading results) is permanently deleted after 7 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

All network communication is encrypted end-to-end via HTTPS/TLS protocols.

Server access is strictly restricted on a least-privilege basis to authorized personnel.

User passwords are encrypted with strong one-way cryptographic algorithms.

You are entitled to rights to know, access, modify, erase data, withdraw consent, and object to processing pursuant to Vietnam's Law on Personal Data Protection No. 91/2025/QH15 and implementing regulations.

Delete your account in the app: Home → tap your avatar → "Delete account". The account is locked immediately and permanently deleted after 7 days; this cannot be undone.

We respond to all requests within 72 business hours.

Grading outputs and pedagogical explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain occasional inaccuracies.

AIKO serves as an auxiliary self-study tool and does not substitute professional teachers. Parents are encouraged to review exercises alongside their children when needed.

In the event of material modifications, we will issue notice within the application or on this page and revise the effective date at the top.
